March Madness and Making the Most of Our Online Monthly Offerings

Well, sadly for all you college basketball lovers: March Madness is officially cancelled. We will have to wait one more year to watch our favorite teams battle on the court for a National Championship. However, organizations like the NCAA, NBA and other sports leagues are cancelling large events for the safety of their players AND fans amidst this health crisis. Similarly, businesses across the country are grappling with how to move forward so that our communities stay safe as possible. Unruh is no different in that the health of our employees and customers comes first. Now there are many businesses working from home, which necessitates an in-home office space of some kind. For that reason, we have multiple desk options which could help. But before we get to another safe-haven for your home, here are a couple new reasons to celebrate March (and monthly!) Madness.

Our Mom Fund

Unruh is passionate about supporting single moms for a number of reasons. At the top of the list, we know raising a family takes a village. Our story hinges on family, and the goal is to serve as an extension of family for single moms across Kansas City and beyond. Here’s how it works.

Once a month, we receive nominations, from people like you, about other deserving single moms. Each month, we sift through those applications and select one mom a month to provide a new Unruh table. This is the hardest part of the process! There are so many worthy and deserving single moms. You can learn more about the Mom Fund on our website – where you can nominate a single mom today! Lastly, a table giveaway isn’t the only way we support single moms. Through cash donations and t-shirt sales, we put 100% of those proceeds toward helping single moms with groceries, toiletries or other basic needs for their families. Monthly Giveaway

In addition to our monthly Mom Fund giveaway, we conduct another giveaway on a regular basis: a $2,500 gift card for you and your family. This one is pretty simple: sign up for our email newsletter! The nature of our Mom Fund and monthly giveaways is rooted in giving back to our community. Our carpenters are all big fans of buying and supporting local business.
